Lord's Taverners work across the UK to provide inclusive and impactful cricket programmes, empowering young people with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities to develop the knowledge, skills, capabilities and confidence required to overcome the challenges of inequality, raise their aspirations and reach their potential.
In the North West 2, 515 young people are benefitting from our work, 63 settings delivering our SEND programmes, 1,621 cricket sessions across all of our programmes, 22 hubs across Super 1's and Wicketz.
More locally, we have seen new Wicketz programmes open in Liverpool and Blackpool, whilst Wirral Grammar School have once again reached National Finals of our Table Cricket competition at Lord's.
Thank you to the Liverpool Sporting Dinner for all of their continued support and fundraising.

Dallaglio RugbyWorks is proud to be supported by the Liverpool Sporting Dinner, an event that plays a vital role in helping us change the outcomes of some of the UK’s most vulnerable young people. RugbyWorks is an intensive, long-term skills development programme designed to support teenagers who are excluded from mainstream education, often due to difficult life circumstances, and help them into sustained education, employment, or training.
Our programme combines the power of rugby with one-to-one mentoring and tailored support. Over a three-year journey, young people take part in weekly sport-based sessions that focus on building resilience, teamwork, and confidence. They also receive consistent mentoring from trusted adults, employability workshops, workplace visits, and introductions to local businesses and training providers.
In the North West, our team works across Merseyside and Greater Manchester in partnership with Alternative Provision schools and local organisations. RugbyWorks offers a positive, stable environment where they can gain the tools, skills, and belief they need to create a brighter future.
Thanks to the generosity of the Liverpool Sporting Dinner and its supporters, we are reaching more young people across the region, helping them take the next step for a positive future.
